Judy Ling Wong is a painter, poet and environmental activist. She has worked for over thirty years in environmental participation, increasing access to the environmental sector and to nature itself, within Black and ethnic minority communities.founding director of the Black Environment Network and is now its Honorary President. Her philosophy around engaging people in environmental action is based on giving people the opportunity to experience and enjoy nature firsthand, particularly wild nature: to look at the local picture and involve community groups in forming council climate action plans; to make the links between the climate crisis and people's countries of origin; and to ensure that structures are in place so that people with limited resources know that their voice - and their vote - are valued . She has an OBE for pioneering ethnic minority environmental participation. For more about her work: judylingwong.co.uk
